You know how on some films, you see someone drop a load of papers and they're trying hold on to the paper that didn't manage to get away, the wind sweeping some in one direction and some in another and they're running around frantically trying to catch the other papers in a mad panic seeing some of their precious information drifting far away? That's how I feel! It's just been one of those weeks! London Transport is a nightmare at the moment and if you live in London you'll know that it doesn't ever seem to get any better. Crammed carriages and the usual 'signal failure' excuses. I was late to work again today thanks to them. I ended up having to go a long route round. It's the same everyday! Boring long journey on the bus or tube, followed by equally boring long walk to work down London's seemingly endless streets. Anyway, mustn't grumble!
Last weekend I went to have my hair done which was nice. Then we came back ready to do the Radio Show and suffered a few technical glitches. Unfortunately, we've had so much to do since, we couldn't quite get round to doing a live show. So we just chose some songs to keep it going for the time being.
I've had 3 nights this week of the acting & dancing classes. We're still panicking a bit about it a bit but then that's only to be expected, considering the amount of practice we've had to do this in. I'm sure it'll be alright on the night. It's been somewhat tiring though trying to fit everything in this week, what with the afore mentioned acting/dancing classes and preparing for the video shoot which happens at Radio 2XS's Barn Studio in Sheffield over the weekend. I'm looking forward to it though. Just not the bit where I have to go and pick up the van, then the lifting part where we have to lug all our live equipment up and down 6 flights of stairs! Oh well! It should be a little easier since we've been doing the weight training, (That was the plan anyway). And then I've got the drive there and back of course. It'll make a nice change anyway. We'll get to see some family and maybe some friends and I could so do with getting away from London for a few days!

Not much to right home about this week. I went to my acting and dancing classes again, everyone's panicking a bit because we have a showcase to do next week and no ones ready, but it's not supposed to be a full on west-end play –it's supposed to be a 'work in progress'. It should be a laugh anyway. And Ditch and I are keeping up the weight training which is going well.
I didn't notice a thing when we had the earthquake. Ditch said he thought I was messing around rocking the bed, but I slept right through it. I heard many stories though. My Mum said it woke her up in Sheffield, she said she heard a big bang and it lifted the bed 'only about an inch!'. She says people of her age have experienced a few of them even though they're fairly rare in the UK, so it doesn't really bother her anymore. My Brother Robin (who's just completed one of the remixes for the next release 'Instant Mash EP', was still up and wondered what the hell was going on. Apparently, my cats weren't bothered by it. They just kept on snoozing!
We're just starting to prepare now for the video shoot/Radio 2XS Barn Session next week and for the launch of the Radio Station tomorrow. And tonight we're baby sitting for Ditch's brother, David's 4 kids which should be fun! Babysitting was something I feared for sometime when I was a bit younger, but every time someone would visit or I went to see some one with a baby or a young kid, they'd always come to me to play, it's like they homed in on my fear or something. It got me the name 'baby magnet', after this happened a few times. Eventually I got used to it, especially since I've been with Ditch, as he's got 11 nieces & nephews. I quite enjoy babysitting them now, but it's nice to hand them back after a few hours.
I'm going to have me hair done tomorrow and then we're going for fish'n chips in Chiswick, so that'll be a nice change. Then back to work on the Radio Station.

At the weekend Ditch and I wrote a couple of new songs. It was good to get back in to it again and we are really happy what we came up with.
On Tuesday evening, I went to my acting and dance classes as I have been doing for the last few weeks. I'm doing the salsa routine from 'Dirty Dancing' – not something I would've envisaged myself doing 15 or 20 years ago, when the film first came out, in fact at that time I would have been mortified at the idea! But it's great fun.
I'd like to try out some different dance styles, but at the moment we're just getting ready for a showcase, so we're just sticking to the salsa for now. I've always quite fancied learning to dance but never before got round to it, (apart from in my bedroom secretly trying to copy Madonna's dance moves, back home when I was a knee high to a grass hopper!). I had to pretend I didn't like dance, when I was going through my Hard Rock and Heavy Metal stage though. It wasn't 'cool' to like Rock music if you also liked dance/pop music and vice versa when I was at school. Fortunately, I figured that was a load of crap and decided to listen to what I wanted to listen to, otherwise 'Scarlet BLONDE' may not have existed.
I've always furtively wanted to try my hand at acting as well, but I wasn't sure I'd be much good at it. I'd like to be going into detail as to how to act, but at the moment I'm working on a short script for a play that I don't think much of. Never mind, it's a start and I'm going to be studying it in more detail next month.
